Life Guide America
Steering Youths and Adults Onto The Right Path
Counseling • Recovery • Re-entry
It's all about choices.
Take the wrong turn, and Self-Destruction Way leads to Prison Road, and Ignorant Drive is the way to Welfare Place.
But take the correct path and prosper; Education Way leads to Freedom Drive, and Graduate Road to Success Drive.
It sounds like a board game, but it's not. Robert Pitre, a Dallas entrepreneur and youth advocate, is helping others maneuver the game of real life through the Life Guide America Map, which he sells as a tool to help youths make positive choices.
"I got the idea from just dealing with the plight of the inner city in America," said Mr. Pitre, who likes to dabble with inventions. "But the map also fits any community in America."
The businessman owns the 90-acre Skyline Ranch in Oak Cliff and operates it as public entertainment facility with his wife, Pennie, and son, Jordan, 13.
He knows inner-city problems well. He has mentored and helped youths, particularly troubled and at risk youths, since the early 1990s. Through his nonprofit organization, Pitre Vision, he has operated a home for troubled boys.
